Treatment of Phragmites / common reed

SOLitude Lake Management will be on site Thursday, September 24, 2026 to perform a spray treatment for Phragmites along the shoreline of Lower Goose Pond. This treatment will be completed in the day and there are no lake restrictions associated with it.

We hope you all enjoyed a fantastic summer here on Goose Pond!

As we welcome fall, its beautiful colors, cooler nights and shorter days, we also welcome the annual lake drawn down, which is set to begin in Mid-October. The drawdown helps in invasive species management and to protect our dam.

A small reminder to bring in those docks, remove those boats and personal watercrafts and secure all shoreline accessories. An email to District Members will be sent closer to the time.

If anyone has photos of Goose Pond they would like included on the website, or in the newsletter, please forward them along to the District!! We would love to see the beauty of the pond through your camera!!
